A Wake-up Call for a Happy
Balance
Almira Xenia A. Navarette-Cunado
Each moment of the day purposely
happens because they must. Someone may have caused it or we deliberately willed
it. Either way, it is fine to know that
we take each incident responsibly. However, as days pass, we become immersed
into the gamut of tasks, in a limbo of quests for answers to our endless
questions. Once they all bombard us, we are left with much less choices and we
end up not choosing anything due to stress and frustrations.
How do we handle these
situations? How do we maintain our grace under pressure? How do we strike the
happy balance between hitting the
targets and keeping our sanity and our relationships? Issues that entail at
home and in the workplace will always take many forms and shall come in varying
degrees. Our personal barometer functions in the same manner and customizes in
any given predicament. Moreover, these two are expected to blend well as they
bring out the champions in each of us. The bottom line is the answers lie in our
hands.
Odds are but part and parcel of our lives. We only have to start
believing that we can change, beginning with our perspective. Like a new pair
of eyeglasses, our disposition and perspective would make a lot of difference. Thus,
if we don’t like something, change it; otherwise, change the way you think
about it ( Mary Engelbreit). Beginning with ourselves, we shall begin our journey towards a happy and balanced way
of life. Hence, let us hold on and keep ourselves grounded because " when we long for life without difficulties, be reminded that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure"
(Peter Marshall.)
